Dear all,

I hope you all had a terrific holiday break, and Happy New Year for 2020!

The next SSG auction will take place live, at the annual conference at the Morley-Hayes Hotel, just north of Derby, 3rd to 5th April 2020.   As usual, we will have a maximum of 100 lots on offer.

I have recently taken over the auction organisation, as Bryan and Anita have (after 16 auctions!) decided to withdraw.  Initially, I have published a call for auction contributions, on the Auction section of the website with the new procedures and instructions.

When ready, the catalogue details will also be uploaded onto the Auction Catalogue page of the website.  We are encouraging you to use the website by placing the catalogue there as it saves time, money and is environmentally more beneficial on resources.  To navigate the auction, go to the SSG homepage of the website, and at the bottom of the page there is a ‘login’ box. Log in using your user i.d. and password then go to the ‘Membership’ tab at the top of the page and on the drop-down menu click on ‘Auction’ or Auction Catalogue’.

To ensure you receive regular updates and information (and a login username and password) please make sure you send your email contact details to the membership secretary, Julie Anderson, at so she can update your membership record.  If you do not have an email address, please confirm this with her by letter.
The call for contributions and the current SSG auction rules are detailed on the Auction page of the website.
